Wild-Card Round Preview - Broncos @ Bills
What a rookie season it has been for Bo Nix, who has helped Sean Payton deliver the Broncos their first playoff berth since their Super Bowl winning season with Payton Manning in 2015. Unfortunately, their reward is a Wild-Card Round date with one the AFC’s perennial powerhouses in Buffalo. Josh Allen is the MVP favorite, thanks largely to his efforts in dragging what was perceived to be an undermanned Bills roster to the second seed. Can he finally convert this success into the Super Bowl ring he deserves? His journey begins here, against a very tough Denver defense.

Broncos @ Bills Wild-Card Round Preview
Josh Allen has led the Buffalo Bills to an impressive 30.9 points per game this year, which is good enough for second in the NFL. He and his teammates will be tested this weekend though by the Broncos equally impressive defense, who have limited opponents to the third-fewest points, with 18.3 per game, whilst also logging the most sacks, with 63, a whopping 9 more than second place. With unexpected superstars like Nick Bonitto and Zach Allen thriving on the D-line, and Patrick Surtain putting together a strong bid for 2024 Defensive Player of the Year, this unit is as formidable as they come.
Thankfully, for Buffalo, they have an MVP-candidate to counteract that threat, playing behind the best offensive line he has ever had. If Buffalo can win in the trenches and extinguish the threat of Denver’s league-leading pass rush, Allen will fancy his chances to put up points. If they can’t, and Denver are constantly harassing Allen, then we could be in for an upset. That being said, there are few quarterbacks out there who can evade the rush and make a positive out of a negative like Allen.
The Denver Broncos also have an elusive quarterback on their hands, with rookie Bo Nix completely outplaying expectations this year. He has passed for 3,775 yards this year, to go along with the most passing touchdowns by a rookie, with 29, and 430 yards and 4 more scores on the ground. This Buffalo defense have restricted opposing teams to just 21.6 points per game this year, 11th in the NFL, but they have also seen teams like LA and Detroit land over 40 on them apiece. Can Nix channel that and deliver some more magic in this brilliant rookie season?

Wild-Card Round Predictions: Broncos @ Bills
The Broncos have been a brilliant story this year, and Sean Payton remains one of the best coaches in the NFL, but Buffalo are the two-seed for a reason. Josh Allen is playing the best football of his career, and is one of the few players who can find his way through this elite defensive unit.
